Student Life in Perth

Take Advantage of This Time in Your Life

One of the best pieces of advice that we have for you as an institute student is that, no matter what you decide to study, make sure that you get involved.

Enjoy every opportunity that you have available, even outside of your field of study. When studying, it’s important to take advantage of everything because you may never have those opportunities again.

Western Australia is the largest state geographically in Australia, taking up almost a third of the entire continent with approximately 2.5 million square kilometres! Over 2 million people call Perth home and believe it is the most beautiful city in Australia.

It has been ranked the eighth most liveable city in the world by The Economist magazine’s 2015 global survey.

Perth is the closest Australian capital city to Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. There are many daily direct international flights to and from Perth encompassing many of the major cities of the world.

Perth offers an ideal place for students to live and excel in their studies. Perth has a strong multi-cultural community with a wide variety of cultural and sporting activities, great restaurants, shops, and a variety of places for religious worship.

Surrounded by lovely park lands and magnificent ocean beaches.  Whether you enjoy water sports, such as surfing and swimming or other sports, such as soccer and basketball, or even just relaxing, there is something for everyone.

You will find the people of WA are both friendly and helpful to visitors. Perth enjoys an extremely strong economy as the State produces over 30% of Australia’s export products. This provides many career opportunities. International students can work up to 40 hours fortnightly while studying and may work full-time during their holidays.
